Ireland 2013
Last day
In their last day the kids wrote nice cards to thank their host families and of course they had a farewell party which included karaoke and snacks. At the end of the party they were given the Certificates.
All of them feel sad because they have to leave but at the same time they are very happy because they spent a great time in Ireland.
Here we are again, writing about this wonderful trip that is about to finish, and from which we are learning so much and especially improving our English level. Finally, last Thursday we didn’t go to the White House, as we had planned, but we went to visit the Capitol instead. We followed a guided tour that showed us everything, including the underground galleries that connect the main building with the surrounding offices. Over the weekend we were also very busy with multiple celebrations in some of our family’s houses, visiting some museum (where we learned about the history behind the United States flag), visiting some of the famous “memorials”, and of course, shopping!
Follow us in Maryland
We continue to enjoy a lot, and we don’t stop doing things! Last week, some of us had exams on some subjects. We are all getting great marks, even though English is not our mother tongue.

We arrived in Washington DC a week ago. Then we were taken to school where they had prepared a great reception. Our families were there waiting for us. They gave us our timetable, which are different from each other, and went home with our families.
Spanish Exchange Students Enjoy a Fun Evening of Nats Baseball

Last night the Spanish exchange students experienced the great American pastime! They enjoyed an exciting one-sided game which saw the Nats hit 6 homeruns.
They thought the fans were quiet compared to a European futbol (soccer) game but they did enthusiastically sing along to “Take me out to the ball game”!
Please excuse them if they are a little tired as we had a late night combined with their jetlag!
Viaje a Irlanda de 1º ESO 2012
Day 7 – 27-03-2012
Finally our last day arrived and it was very sunny and warm. The kids prepared nice cards for their host families thanking them for their stay at their houses. The girls painted their faces with shamrocks and the Irish flag. We also went to a wonderful park and we did a kind of treasure hunt, looking for special information, and there was a team who were the winners and received a prize.
